THUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – UPDATED June 22 11:00EDT – Thunder Bay Police report they have made an arrest in conjunction with the Robbery of Janzen’s Pharmacy on June 20, 2012. A 32 year old Thunder Bay man was taken into custody last night at 6:40OM during a traffic stop on the city’s south side.
The male has been charged with Robbery with a Weapon, Wearing a Disguise with Intent, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Breach of Recognizance.
He will appear in court today.
At about 4:40PM on the 20 June 2012, Thunder Bay Police Service Officers responded to a robbery at Janzens Pharmacy located at 129 Frederica St W. A lone male wearing a disguise entered the store armed with a edged weapon. The male fled with an undisclosed amount of property , there were no injuries. He is described as heavy set with a dark hoodie over his face. The male is still at large as the investigation continues.
Police are looking to identify a stocky male wearing black pants, t-shirt and runners with red laces. He was also wearing a black baseball cap with a yellow emblem on the front. He was riding a black bike with orange front shocks. At the time of the robbery his face was covered with a black bandana.
