Events Now – 4th annual Chippewa Fun Day

Events NowTHUNDER BAY – Events Now – The Friends of Chippewa Park, in partnership with the Bill Beavis Family and the
Westfort Kiwanis club are pleased to announce that the 4th annual Chippewa Fun Day will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2012.

This family fun day will feature games for children and families, along with free coffee, cake and many many prizes and will run from noon to 4PM. Families are asked to register at the main pavilion.

Free door prizes will be awarded to both children and adults, including two bicycles, a weekend for 4 at Sturgeon Lake Lodge, a car starter, a weekend in a log cabin at Chippewa Park and one night’s accommodation at Grand Portage Lodge and Casino.

There is no fee for the door prizes.

“We are grateful to the support from a broad range of Thunder Bay and area companies who have contributed to the running of this event” said The Friends of Chippewa Park’s President, Lorraine Lortie-Krawczuk. “The Chippewa Fun Day is designed to provide an opportunity for families to have a day together at one of Thunder Bay’s best parks.”

Lortie-Krawczuk also praised the Beavis family for their work in developing and sponsoring the day for the first three years. “Without the leadership of Bill Beavis and his entire family we would not have been able to see this day enfold the way it has.”

Over 1000 people are expected to attend the Chippewa Fun Day.
