breaking newsTHUNDER BAY – 15:00EDT June 18 2012 – The Lakehead Conservation Authority has issued a FLOOD WATCH for the Lakehead Region including the City of Thunder Bay, Municipalities of Neebing, Oliver Paipoone, Shuniah, and the townships of O’Connor, Conmee, Gillies, and Dorien.

The LRCA advises that potential heavy precipitation is forecasted over the next two days. Rainfall amounts in excess of 50 millimetres are forecasted for Tuesday afternoon, with an additional 25 to 50 millimetres possible in localized thunder storms. An additional 7 millimetres forecasted for Wednesday.

The possibility of thunderstorms exists over the coming days which may result in increased localized precipitation amounts to fall.
