NNL-FloodandRecoveryTHUNDER BAY – The Atlantic Avenue Pumping Station was flooded by massive rainfall amounts on May 28, 2012. The station was knocked offline as water rose and the pumps were flooded.

Once the pumping station shut down due to the massive amount of water, that led to the sewers backing up, and all of the damages to many homes across Thunder Bay. While much of the damage has focused on the East End, there were also homes in Northwood, and South High Street which were flooded.

In this video report from Shaw Cable Ten in Thunder Bay, you can see a little more of what happened.
