THUNDER BAY – Youth Now – The Thunder Bay Youth Strategy’s Employment pillar presents their Plan of Attack: Youth Employment workshop series, with the first workshop being held on Thursday June 7th, 2012 at 7pm at the Waverley Resource Library.
FREE workshops related to Youth Employment will take place once a month alternating between the Waverley Resource Library and the Mary J.L. Black Branch, and All youth are welcome to attend.
The first workshop will be sponsored by Northwest Employment Works, and the topic is What Does Employment Mean to You?
The workshop will cover Career Decision Making, the Benefits of Employment, and what the Thunder Bay Youth Strategy Employment Pillar does, as the committee is also welcoming volunteers to join the group.
One of the recommendations that were made from youth in Thunder Bay was that they would like to see more active engagement with them in the community, and the Plan of Attack workshop series has been designed to address that need.
Future workshops are open to any agency who would like to come and present a topic that is related to youth and employment, and any inquiries can be sent to info@thunderbayyouthstrategy.ca or 807-626-1757.
