Put some weight on the State of Emergency so that people understand

iconsTHUNDER BAY – Readers Ledger – In the mist of Thunder Bay’s State of Emergency, I reflect at the actions to all those assisting those in need. However, as sad as it may be, there are many not taking notice of the world, or rather city around them. The ages old divide of Port Arthur vs Fort William continues.

Social media only helps the word travel so far and doesn’t stress the importance of reducing waste water into the cities system.

The city continues to still run, the toilets flushed in mass from commercial operations and yet many are not blinking an eye to the problems that exist not far from our backyard.

All NIMBY’s need to take others into account and as those being hit hardest are our Grandparents, parents, sisters, brothers, friends…

A State of Emergency is in play in Thunder Bay, yet it has no weight and majority citizens, businesses, institutions, and industries are ignoring the issues at hand. (Please remember that it is a health & safety issue to continue operation of a public facility without proper washroom operation…. and we are requesting the reduction of this use… ?)

Put some weight on the State of Emergency so that people understand it’s meaning.
