Nishnawbe-Aski Police in Kashechewan continue to hammer illegal drug operations

NAPSKASHECHEWAN – Crimebeat – Nishnawbe-Aski Police have been busy in Kashechewan over the past week. There have been three drug investigations which have taken place, and resulted in charges being laid. On Friday, May 25, 2012, the Nishnawbe-Aski Police members of the Kashechewan Detachment conducted a drug investigation under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and a woman from Kashechewan has been charged.

Twenty-five year-old April Kimberly Wynne was been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking after the investigation resulted in the seizure of Marijuana with a street value $3,332.00.

Wynne has been released on conditions and will next appear in court on August 22, 2012 in Kashechewan, Ontario.

Kashechewan First Nation is located approximately 500 km northwest of Timmins, Ontario.
