THUNDER BAY – Continued threats of more rain and rising water levels on the Neebing River have raised concern that the bridge over the Neebing at Edward Street may need to be closed to attempt to protect the bridge.

Thunder Bay Police are advising that the Bridge at Edward Street and Parkway is closed due to rising water and debris accumulating under the bridge. It has been determined by Thunder Bay Fire/Rescue working in conjunction with road that the conditions have become unsafe.

There are many areas of the city still struggling with flooding.
