Nishnawbe-Aski Police Kashechewan Detachment charge two in drug investigations

NAPSKASHECHEWAN – Crimebeat – The Nishnawbe-Aski Police members of the Kashechewan Detachment conducted two separate investigations under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and two men have been charged with offences as a result.

On Tuesday, May 22, 2012 police seized Marihuana with a street value of approximately ten thousand ($10,000.00) dollars.

Thirty-one year-old George Peter Edward Friday has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Substance. Friday has been released on conditions and will next appear in court on August 22, 2012 in Kashechewan, Ontario.

On Wednesday, May 23, 2012 police seized Oxycodone and Speed with a street value of approximately eight thousand ($8,000.00) dollars.

Fifty-three year-old Alexander Daniel Wesley has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Substance. Wesley was released on conditions, and will next appear in court on August 22, 2012 in Kashechewan, Ontario.

Kashechewan First Nation is located approximately 500 km northwest of Timmins, Ontario.
