Superior High School evacuated due to Bomb Threat

NNLCRIMEbeatTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – Superior High School was evacuated at 2:37PM after the office received information about a bomb threat. At approximately 2:34 p.m. Thunder Bay Police received a 911 call from school authorities advising that a message was left on a wall in a school washroom indicating that a bomb was going to go off at 3:00PM. As a safety precaution the staff and students were evacuated. A search of the school was conducted by officers with the assistance of staff to identify any unusual items.

Students were contained in a safe location outside the school and the school buses were relocated to wait for the issue to be resolved. At 4:20 the facility was cleared and handed back over to the control of the school authorities. No threat was detected.
