Young Giants CILUTHUNDER BAY – The Young Giants are “Calling All Youth!” Nathan Ogden shares, Youth Week is Just around the corner and so are the 2nd Annual Youth Awards!

So, just who is eligible? You are! Or perhaps you know someone in your school? Hockey team? From the Boys and Girls Club? The Regional Multicultural Youth Council? Dennis Franklin Comarty High School? Or in your neighbourhood.

Random Acts of Kindness Award are awarded to a youth who has demonstrated an act of bravery, selflessness or notable deed for the betterment of another.

Someone who has committed a selfless act.

Community Enhancement Award Recognizes youth that have made positive contributions to the community on a voluntary basis such as serving on a committee and other volunteer work with organizations/agencies/groups.

Time spent volunteering must be separate from any educational requirement.

Provide names and contact information for supervisor.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words To be awarded to a youth whose actions have helped further a cause or belief or enhanced the life or lives of others. Will have shown passion or empathy while lending their support.

Celebrating Diversity Award Awarded to a youth who has worked to promote inclusion and celebrate their diverse community.

Uniquely Me! Recognizes youth who have recorded noteworthy achievements in some endeavor. Also could be given to an individual who has achieved considerable progress in some endeavor, exhibiting ability and commitment for personal change and growth.

Group Award Awarded to a group of youth who has committed time and energy to voice a cause and bring about change. Must have demonstrated passion and conviction. Leader of Tomorrow Paving the way for youth of tomorrow.
