Lakehead Baseball Sweeps Michigan Tech

ThunderwolvesHOUGHTON, MI- Sports – The Lakehead University Thunderwolves won both games of the doubleheader Saturday at Michigan Tech with scores of 12-1 in the 1st game and 15-4 in the 2nd. The Thunderwolves finished the sweep of the Huskies with a 13-2 win on Sunday morning. Lakehead finishes 8-4 in District V West Conference play and is 16-10 overall with 22 non-conference games remaining.

Zach Kotarac tossed a 1 hitter with 4 K’s in the 1st game and was 2-3 at the plate with 2 runs scored and 1 rbi.
Aaron Lagadin 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 rbi
Drew Childs 2-4 with 3 runs scored and 2 stolen bases
Kyle Booth 2-3 with 1 run scored

Game 2

Michigan Tech University 4

Mike Meany got the win on the mound in the 2nd game tossing a complete game 5 hitter and was 4-4 at the plate with 3 HR’s, 4 runs scored and had 7 rbi
Drew Childs 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 1 stolen base
Kyle Coppola 2-3 with 1 runs scored and 2 rbi

Game 3
Lakehead University 13
Michigan Tech University 2

Aaron Lagadin picked up the win for Lakehead tossing 4 innings of 3 hit ball and allowing only 1 earned run. Ian MacDonald finished the game on the hill throwing 2 shutout innings to preserve the win for the Thunderwolves.
