Allergic to Negative PeopleTHUNDER BAY – There is a lesson in what the Thunder Bay District Social Services Administration Board is doing in our community. While many see problems, and complain, the TBDSSAB are seeking and offering solutions.

It is a lesson many in Northwestern Ontario should learn from and then emulate. It is a simple means of engagement and discussion. If all one does is complain, then all the other party will do is stop listening. Think of it in terms of your daily life. Do you hand out with negative people? Do you have a negative attitude? Are you complaining all day? Chances are part of the reason are the people who you are hanging around with.

In science a positive and a negative attract, in life we are not electrons and protons, or magnets, we can make choices.

The truth of the matter is simple. The more positive people who you have in your circle of associates and friends, the more engaging, positive and enjoyable you are going to be. That positive energy is going to attract more positive people to your circle.

Think in bigger terms, if everyone in our city did that, imagine how exciting, engaging and positive Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario would be?

Does that mean we should all put on a happy face and dance away ignoring problem? No.

It also doesn’t mean we try brushing away problems either. It means we stand up, and work to solve problems with positive solutions.

A good start is to change from being against something, to looking at a situation and seeking a solution.

Those who are negative, and oppose everything, will always try to bring you down. They are unable to accept that things are always getting better. They are mired in their nattering negativity.

Becoming a beacon of positive energy will not only help you, your family and your friends, but in a broader picture you will be helping Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario too.
