Busy Weekend for Thunder Bay Police – Two Mac’s Stores Robbed, Eleven Assaults, Two Sexual Assaults and More

Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – It was another dangerous night for employees at Macs in Thunder Bay. Two stores were robbed overnight. The North May Street Macs and the Simpson Street Macs were both targeted by robbers.

Thunder Bay Police report that at the North May Street location the robbery suspect used a needle, and was able to get away with cash.

So far over the weekend, there have been a number of other crimes reported by the Thunder Bay Police Service.

A sexual offense was reported on Donald Street. As well on Holt Place there was another sexual offense reported.

There have been eleven assaults reported to police over the weekend so far.

Police also responded to a weapons offense on Pearl Street, as well as another separate weapons offense on Lillie Street North and Walnut Street.

Additionally, numerous drug and alcohol offenses in the downtown Port Arthur core as well as in the Fort William core were responded to by uniformed officers.

There was an assault reported at Lakehead University as well. Details are still unavailable from the Thunder Bay Police Service on that incident.
