THUNDER BAY – Business NOW – Ontario’s North Economic Development Corporation (ONEDC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines (MNDM), will bring two seasoned experts in the mining industry supply and service sector to Thunder Bay on February 16.
Beginning with a breakfast presentation, regional firms seeking to increase the global reach for their many innovative products and services will learn how to best promote themselves to international mining clients, which could drive wealth and job creation to Northwestern Ontario.
Jon Baird, President of the Canadian Association of Mining Equipment and Services for Export, and Mel Sauve, President of Global Growth, will be on hand to provide attendees with practical insights into the potential of the world mining market and how they can increase their sales.
In addition, there will be details about a new funding program designed to assist mining and mine exploration supply and services companies in Northwestern Ontario expand their customer base and tap into new revenues outside of Ontario. The Mining Supply and Services Export Assistance Program is specifically designed to support their growth with up to $10,000 in export marketing assistance.
Companies looking to find out more, including how eligible firms can access the expertise of an international export advisor, should register for the free breakfast information session at the Victoria Inn in Thunder Bay on Thursday, February 16, from 7:45 am to 9:15 am. This program is relevant for companies looking to expand into both international markets and/or other Canadian provinces including Saskatchewan and Alberta.
