Two RCMP Officers shot and wounded on-duty near Killam Alberta

NNLCRIMEbeatEDMONTON – Crimebeat – Breaking news At approximately 2PM MST today, two members from the Killam RCMP Detachment were shot and wounded while attending a rural residence. The wounded officers have been taken to hospital for treatment.

The officers were transported by the Shock Trauma Air Rescue (STARS) medical helicopter. The RCMP Emergency Response Team and RCMP Air Services have been dispatched to secure the scene.

A search is underway to locate an armed suspect.

Killam is south east of Edmonton and east of Red Deer Alberta. No further information will be released at this time by the RCMP K Division.
