iconsKENORA – The Kenora-Rainy River Provincial Liberal Association held their Annual General Meeting on January 17, 2012 in Dryden. Local members elected a new executive representing communities throughout the riding. The objectives of the Kenora-Rainy River Provincial Liberal Association include promoting Liberal principles and policies; providing a means for forwarding the opinions of members to the Leader and the Ontario Liberal Party and to organize and elect Liberal members to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

All political parties, both federal and provincial have riding associations, and party members help select candidates, and help set party policies.

“By reaching out to the many diverse communities in Kenora-Rainy River and creating networks from the Far North to the Minnesota border in Rainy River, we can build an Association that connects us. Technology has advanced to the point where our reach is greatly expanded and we need to allow people the opportunity to contact us,” said Anthony Leek, newly elected Riding President. Kenora-Rainy River Liberals invite local residents to check out the riding association’s new website, www.krr.ridingassociation.org
