Lakehead BasketballTHUNDER BAY – Lakehead University basketball is continuing its climb. The CIS released the latest rankings earlier on Tuesday, with Lakehead men’s basketball reaching a new all-time high at # 2. The T-Wolves move ahead of St. Francis Xavier, who lost 2 games last week un-ranked opponents (CBU and UPEI). St. FX slips to #4, and UBC, a perennial powerhouse moves up to #3. Although the Thunderwolves did go 1-1 over the weekend, it was against a ranked opponent, the Laurier Golden Hawks, who also moved up this week, from #7 to #6.

In other Top 10 rankings, Lakehead’s wrestling teams are also in the mix, with the women currently ranked #6, and the men’s team #9.
