Dream CatcherTHUNDER BAY – Updated – It had to be the toughest, and saddest decision that a family would have to make. The kind of decision family would never want to make.

Today the family of Barney Beaver, the man who was the victim of a brutal assault at the Victoria Inn last weekend had to decide on what they should do with the life of their loved one.

Family members are reporting that the decision has been made, and the family decided to unplug life support.

That was done at 6:00PM this evening.

Ronnie Beaver, the brother of Barney Beaver has been in contact with NetNewsledger through this ordeal for the family.

He shares, “Barney Beaver past away peacefully this morning 7:18AM December 24, 2011. His journey begins to Spirit World to be with our families and ancestors. I was so tired early this morning must have fell asleep. In my sleep, ‘grandfather spirit came letting me know my brother passed on, he spoke in my language’. I woke up and told my wife. I know my brother is going to better place, the grandfather spirit will guide him there. I went to pray by my brother’s bed side this morning.. I thanked the Creator for giving me a good brother…Until then we shall meet again BROTHER.”

The family has stayed together through this difficult time.

Pray for the community of Webequie and the Families.
