Mac’s On North Cumberland Street Robbed

THUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – The Thunder Bay Police Service report, “At approximately 12:09 a.m. Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to a robbery at Mac’s Mart at 185 North Cumberland Street. The lone suspect had entered the store armed with a knife and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured”.

The accused is described as being 6 feet tall, thin, wearing grey sweatpants and a grey black and white checkered style jacket and brown scarf.

As well, a 20 year old Webequie man faces charges in regards to an early morning break and enter. At approximately 01:48 a.m. a homeowner in the 500 block of south marks was awoken to discover two intruders in his residence. The homeowner was able to capture the male and hold him until police arrived. The second male was able to escape prior to officers’ arrival, fortunately no one was injured. The investigation continues.
