Road Conditions and Snow Equal Almost 40 Accidents

THUNDER BAY – Winter appears to have decided to make its presence felt in Northwestern Ontario. Light snow is falling in Thunder Bay, and across the region as much as ten inches of snow along the Northshore of Lake Superior. In other words, if you are out in your car, remember to think winter. There are already reports of several minor traffic accidents. Thunder Bay Police share that inside the city so far today there have been almost 40 accidents as of 4PM.

The important message however is to take your time, remember, often it can be the other driver who isn’t ready for winter conditions. Driving defensively today is an important step at all times, but especially for the first days of snowy roads.
