THUNDER BAY – Once again Thunder Bay’s Mike O’Neill and Brandon Hrycyshyn will be fighting again in MMA in Winnipeg Manitoba November 25th at the Convention Centre. Mike O’Neill will be fighting Winnipeg’s home-town favourite Louis Fisette from WAMMA.

O’Neill will seek out a small taste of retribution with a victory here, as Fisette’s team mate Corey Houston is the only fighter to beat O’Neill, at Lightweight (155lbs.)

Mike will be making his Bantam weight (135) debut with this fight. Brandon will also be fighting a home town boy at light weight and will be looking for his first pro win.

Both fighters have been training long and hard. originally both fighters were set to fight in Montreal for ONE FC September 2nd. Unfortunately that event was cancelled due to too many fighters on the card pulling out due to injuries.

The two were, leading up to that event training in Kenora with UFC vet and last ever TKO welter weight champion Jesse Bongfeldt. So combining both fight camps which equaled 5 months of long training and gruelling practices.

“Well the 6 months between fights isn’t ideal for me but cancellations happen and I just have to go on with my business and wait for the next one but it’s not like I did nothing in that time, I trained hard and now finally I’ll get back in there” said O’Neill.

This will be Mike O’Neill’s fifth MMA fight, and Brandon Hrycyshyn’s second.

Come November 25 both will finally get back into the cage!
