Just before 6:00AM a male armed with scissors entered the Macs Mart

Image courtesy Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – Earlier this week, both Mac’s Mart and the Thunder Bay Police Service were engaged in discussions to make the 24-hour stores safer. Early this morning, Thunder Bay Police responded to a robbery at the Macs Mart located on the corner of May St and Dease St.

Just before 6:00AM a male armed with scissors entered the Macs Mart with his face concealed with a black neck warmer. He pulled up his hood and leaned over the counter demanding money and cigarettes. The suspect made off with a small amount of cash and cigarettes. The employee was not injured.

Police are currently looking for a Native Canadian male with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a long black jacket to his knee over a grey hoodie with a white pattern on the hood.

Thunder Bay Police ask, “If anyone has information about this incident or the identity of this male please call Police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 623-847”.
