Crimebeat – Thunder Bay Police Update on Fatal Car Crash

crimebeatTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – Updating on the busy weekend that Thunder Bay Police experienced. The investigation continues into Sunday morning’s fatal motor vehicle collision in the city’s south side.

60 year old Josceline Ryan of Thunder Bay died from injuries sustained in a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Victoria Avenue West and Leland Avenue. Josceline was a passenger of a car driven by her 68-year-old husband. Their vehicle had been hit by a stolen pickup truck. The husband remains in hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Investigators believe that the driver of the stolen vehicle is male.

TBPS also report that officers responded to a weapons call early Sunday morning at Dragon’s Den Bar at the Landmark Hotel. “Just after 1:30 a.m. police attended the Dragon’s Den Bar on a report of a male becoming agitated after being asked by staff to leave the establishment. He allegedly pulled out a small knife and began waving it around in a threatening manner. A patron was kicked by the male but was not injured. The accused then left the premises”.

The suspect is described as a 20-year-old Native male with a stocky build, short scruffy hair, goatee with a small cut on his upper left lip. The suspect was wearing a grey t-shirt with an open black hoodie and black track pants. A female in his company was wearing a black jacket with fur trim on the collar, blue jeans and black boots.
