THUNDER BAY – “Dalton McGuinty should stop hiding from a real debate on issues facing Northern Ontario and join Andrea Horwath at a debate in Thunder Bay,” states Sarah Campbell, NDP candidate for Kenora-Rainy River. “Families in the North are concerned about jobs, the rising cost of living, and reliable healthcare. Dalton McGuinty should come to the North to defend his record.”

Last month, NDP Leader Andrea Horwath called for more debates, including a debate in Northern Ontario. Yesterday, Horwath accepted a request by the Northern Ontario Municipal Association for a debate on September 23 in Thunder Bay.

Media reports today indicate that Tim Hudak has heeded Horwath’s call for a debate in the North and NOMA’s September 23rd proposal.

“New Democrats will make life more affordable, reward companies that create jobs, and make sure Ontario’s resources create value-added jobs in the province,” said Campbell.
