THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay & District Injured Workers Support Group are hosting their Annual General Meeting on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Lakehead Labour Centre at 929 Fort William Road at 7PM.
Injured workers, family, friends and anyone wanting to learn more about what happens to a worker after they are injured or made ill in the workplace are welcome to attend.
The group offers a number of supports to injured workers, including peer support, guest speakers to speak of some of the issues that injured workers face, advocacy, assistance with compensation claims and knowledge about the compensation legislation.
Their office office us located in Room 17 at the Lakehead Labour Centre, and it is currently open on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 3 pm.
