TbaytelTHUNDER BAY – Tbaytel is doing some upgrading to its fiber-to-the-home network connections. GENBAND, a leading developer of IP infrastructure and application solutions, has announced that Tbaytel, have selected their company to provide Secure SIP services throughout its fiber-to-the-home network.

“Critical factors driving our selection of the S3 SBC solution from GENBAND include its scalable security and ability to comprehensively manage our message flow for new and future SIP services,” said Don Campbell, President and CEO, Tbaytel. “Additionally, GENBAND’s services expertise and A2 application functionality integrate with our existing softswitch investments to powerfully enhance our VoIP services to our customers. We continue to streamline and simplify our network through GENBAND’s market-leading IP transformation services and support.”

By delivering an integrated solution that includes the S3(TM) Session Border Controller (SBC), A2(TM) Communications Application Server, and Professional Services and Training, GENBAND is building upon Tbaytel’s existing softswitch architecture to deploy robust, hosted business and consumer VoIP capabilities and functionality.

As part of a complete IP transformation services and support solution, GENBAND is providing Tbaytel a single source validation and testing solution with on-site training and knowledge transfer to maximize the investment of the integrated IP infrastructure.
