RCMP Searching for Randall Hopley

hopeyTHUNDER BAY – It is a story that for the family of Kienan Hebert has a happy ending. RCMP Cpl. Dan Mosaluk shares, “We are happy to report that 3 year old Kienan Hebert has been returned home and is safe. Kienan was returned to his family home around 3:00 a.m. (MST). The RCMP can confirm that we received a 9-1-1 call on Sunday September 11, 2011 advising Kienan’s whereabouts and members entered the family home and confirmed his safe return. We have not determined how they returned to the house. Kienan has been assessed by medical personnel and is unharmed and reported to be in good spirits and is happy to be re-united with his family”.

Paul Hebert, Kienan’s Father, commented, “To the person that returned Kienan safely to his family I would like to say thank you. It was the right thing to do and I thank God that Kienan was returned unharmed”.

Cpl. Dan Mosaluk, at a news conference stated: “I would like to speak directly to Randall Hopley now: Thank you for bringing 3 year old Kienan Hebert home and re-uniting him with his family unharmed. Randall if you are listening you need to reach out to the police. Call us or turn yourself in to the police. We know this has been a difficult time for you and your mom is very worried about you. Your mom wants you to come in. Randall we know you have a story to tell and we want you to reach out to the police. Everyone wants to know no other children are at risk. Randall please do the right thing and call us or turn yourself in to the police”.

With respect to our investigation:

Mosaluk states, “The RCMP’s #1 priority was always the safe return of Kienan. The RCMP is shifting it’s focus from getting Kienan home safely to ensuring the public’s safety by finding Randall HOPLEY. For the public we ask you to continue be on the lookout for 46 year old Randall Peter Hopley. He once again described as a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 5’10’” and weighs 147 lbs”.

“There is also the possibility that he has switched vehicles. However we still searching for Hopley’s vehicle described as:

“If anyone has seen Randall Hopley or his vehicle they are asked to call 9-1-1. We are also reminding you of the importance of establishing his movements and action, particularly over the past 6 days. If you have any information please call police”.

“While we respect that there are a number of question, we must remember that this on-going criminal investigation,” continued Mosaluk. “This investigation like all complex and multi faceted investigations assesses available evidence and relies on experience, intuition and expertise to advance. Resources are used to ensure the safe return of the victim, address public safety and gather evidence for court. This continues at this time”.
