edmonton police serviceTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – The Edmonton Police Service are inviting resident to “Come out to this free course and learn more about personal protection and safety!” The goal is not to create a citizen army but rather to educate people on how to protect themselves and to make themselves more crime-aware.

The four Week basic self-defence techniques course includes crime prevention strategies for your home, and vehicle ,and tools to assist in making your property, and community safer. “Join us and connect with others concerned about the same issues and engage in open and ongoing dialogue with several members from the Edmonton Police Service,” state the Edmonton Police.

Course dates:

Wednesdays from 7 pm – 9 pm
September 7, 14, 21 and 28
McNally High School

Mondays from 7 pm – 9 pm
October 3, 10, 17 and 24
Griesbach EPS Training Centre
