THUNDER BAY – It is the baseball event of the season in Thunder Bay. And our Port Arthur Stadium is in the finals.
Tonight, Thunder Bay City Council will show their support for Port Arthur Stadium in its bid to be voted “Canada’s Favourite Ballpark”.
At City Council Chambers at 6:15 p.m. Monday, August 29th there is going to be a special event by Council.
The online contest being run by Baseball Canada heads into the final week of voting with Thunder Bay’s Port Arthur Stadium in a close battle with London, Ontario’s Labatt Memorial for this national title.
The update posted on the Baseball Canada Facebook page at around 10:30 Friday morning indicated that London has a slight lead for what is shaping up to be a close battle heading into the final week of voting.
The final round of online voting began at www.baseball.ca last Tuesday August 23rd. Voting runs for a two week period that ends on September 6th at 10am ET.
