Thunder Bay Hydro Advises Expect Delays on Golf Links Road

Thunder Bay HydroTHUNDER BAY – Remember, there are two seasons in Thunder Bay, winter, and construction season. Thunder Bay Hydro advises, that along Golf Links Road their efforts might cause traffic backups starting on Monday.

Beginning Monday, August 22, Thunder Bay Hydro crews will begin moving the pole line on the east side of Golf Links Road in preparation for widening the road between James/William Street and Oliver Road. This work will impact northbound traffic on Golf Links Road. The right lane from Fanshaw Street to the Harbour Expressway will be closed. At some point, the turning lane on to the Harbour Expressway will be closed as well.

Work on the section south of the Harbour Expressway is expected to take up to one month and include a scheduled power outage to Confederation College and facilities on their property including the Fitness Centre and Thunder Bay Art Gallery.

The construction zone will move north throughout the autumn.
