Andrea HorwathTHUNDER BAY – New Democratic leader Andrea Horwath will be in Thunder Bay later today. Horwath is going to be making a northern announcement. It is very likely that announcement will be about processing Ontario mined ore in Ontario and about wood allocations from companies which have closed operations.

In Sudbury, the NDP leader stated, “If you see the company that’s closed the mill and they’re not going to re-open it, and you leave that allocation with that company for five years or for however-long then there’s no opportunity whatsoever for any other company to come in and work with the community … to process the wood.”

The NDP leader will outline the planks of the Northern Platform in Thunder Bay this afternoon.
