Porter Airlines Takes off in July

Fly PorterTHUNDER BAY – Almost anyone who flies on Porter Airlines ends up serving like an unofficial cheerleader for this growing airline. It appears all of the hard work, the amazing coffee and beverages served on Porter Airlines is paying off. The airline has just reported that its July load traffic set a new record.

Porter Airlines reported its best July load factor in history at 66.8 per cent. This is 4.8 points better than the previous year. Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) also set a new record for the third consecutive month. Figures for the month show 115.8 million Available Seat Miles (ASMs) and 77.4 million RPMs. ASMs grew 16.9 per cent from 99.1 million and RPMs increased 26.1 per cent from 61.4 million versus last year.

“The second half of 2011 is picking up where the first half began with record numbers,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “This reflects strong performance in all 16 Porter markets in Canada and the U.S.”
