THUNDER BAY – Mothers and daughters looking to gain a little confidence, and a means of self protection may want to take the time to sign up for the “Mother & Daughter Self-Defence” session offered by on August 6th from 4PM until 7PM at the Leading Edge Gym at 609 North James Street.

Leo Oja says, “This session is completely focused on one aspect – Women’s Self-Defense. This short four hour session will address all of the important aspects to

this special form of self-defense. While I list this as Mother & Daughter Self-Defense, this is not a restriction, but a suggestion. Mother’s can certainly adopt daughters at this event, and daughters can be adopted by Mothers for this event”.

Wear comfortably clothing. (I simply wear shorts and a T-shirt). If the weather permits we will be outside, but arrangements for the gym to be reserved in case of rainy weather. The cost of this event is only $20, and the first 20 people will be accepted.

“While I will lead the session, I will have female Combat Hapkido students to help out,” shares Oja. “If you have any questions, I can certainly answer them call me at Mentor Computers – 345-1995. I would be happy to answer them”.
