Thunder Bay ChillTHUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Chill did not let a change in schedule affect their current run of good form, as they defeated the St. Louis Lions 1-0 Monday afternoon. A lone goal by Gustavo Oliveira separated the teams, as the Chill recorded their sixth win, and sixth shutout in a row.

The game, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, July 3rd, was a tight affair as Oliveira scored the winning goal early in the match, assisted by Brandon Swartzendruber, in the 13th minute. The Chill then took the opportunity to continue to showcase the strong defense they have stood behind all season long, refusing to allow St. Louis back in the game. Anthony Putrus and Sergio Villalva received yellow cards in the match, while no Chill players suffered injuries.

The Chill will now face undefeated Real Colorado Foxes in a two-game series on Tuesday, July 5th, and Wednesday, July 6th, 2011. Games will kick-off at 7:30 p.m. (EDT) at Shea Stadium in Littleton, Colorado.
