THUNDER BAY – Crime Beat – Thunder Bay Police report that at 1:40 a.m. officers responded to a alleged robbery at a Mac’s Convenience Store on the city’s south side. Two males were involved. One male stayed outside as a lookout and the second entered the store with a knife where he demanded money. The clerk complied with the demands and the pair fled the scene. No one was injured.
Police units were patrolling the area when the report of the robbery came in and responded. Both males were located near the scene and were arrested. The money was recovered.
The males aged 18 and 22 years have been held in custody and will be appearing in court today on charges of Robbery.
Over the past twenty-four hours, there were seven incidents of property crime, four breakins, one indecent act was reported near McVicar Street and Cumberland Street North, and one assault in the 1000 block of Memorial Ave.
