BBM Canada today released preliminary national TV audience estimates for the coverage of the Royal Wedding. The wedding ceremony and procession aired Friday, April 29 between 6:00a.m. and 8:30a.m. (Eastern Time).
The Royal Wedding had an average minute audience of 5.22 million viewers (39% of which were male and 61% were female). A total of 12.55 million unique viewers (37.8% of the population) watched some portion of the ceremony and procession.
Viewership was lowest in British Columbia, and highest in Atlantic Canada.
