Freezing Rain Warning Issued for North Shore of Superior

weather alertTHUNDER BAY – This morning’s attempted return at wintery conditions in Thunder Bay has also the potential to impact local highways. A freezing rain warning has been issued by Environment Canada for the Marathon and Schreiber regions as well as much of the north shore of Lake Superior.

More spring like conditions are just west of Thunder Bay as Winnipeg has a high forecast of 18c today. The high in Thunder Bay should be 4c.

Pedestrians and motorists are advised to take caution today as weather conditions could produce slippery streets and sidewalks.

The forecast is calling for periods of rain today ending after midnight then cloudy with 30 percent chance of showers. Wind northeast 20 km/h becoming light this evening. Low plus 2.
