THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Chief of Police has issued a written statement regarding issues raised by Mayor Keith Hobbs.

Chief Robert Herman states; “In regards to the Ontario Civilian Police Commission investigation referenced by Mayor Hobbs in his press conference yesterday, It would be inappropriate to comment on any aspect of the investigation as there is a process that must be followed. Any questions regarding this investigation should be referred to the Ontario Civilian Police Commission or the Police Services Board.

“In regards to any other comments that Mayor Hobbs made yesterday to the media and therefore the community, I am taking the appropriate action necessary to ensure my integrity and the integrity of the office of the Chief of Police.”
