Two Arrests Made in Murder – Police Seek Two Suspects

THUNDER BAY – UPDATED – As of Sunday evening, Thunder Bay Police have arrested the two additional suspects in the ongoing murder investigation. Both suspects were arrested by police. The two suspects were arrested at two separate residences on the city’s north side.

All four suspects are now in custody. The Thunder Bay Police Service are continuing their investigation.

All four suspects have been charged and been in court. The four have been remanded in custody.

In Thunder Bay, if you do the crime, chances are the Thunder Bay Police will find you. The Criminal Investigations Branch of the TBPS are continuing their investigation into Saturday’s homicide at a Minnesota Street residence.

Two males are now in custody in connection with the break and enter which allegedly involved the murder of 54 year old Robert Francis Topping.

An 18 year old Thunder Bay male was taken into custody at George Burke Park, and a 19 year old Thunder Bay male was taken into custody at a residence in the 300 block of Hill Street.

Police are still looking for two other individuals who are wanted in connection with this incident.

18 year old Cody Allister THOMPSON is described as:

• Native Canadian male

• 6’2” tall – Approximately 230 lbs

• Black hair – brown eyes

Christopher John HAWK

20 year old Christopher John HAWK is described as:

• Native Canadian male

• 5’8” tall – Approximately 134 lbs

• Black hair – brown eyes

Both males are considered dangerous. Police advise that you do not approach these males. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cody Allister Thompson or Christopher Hawk should contact police or Crime Stoppers.

54 year old Robert Francis Topping died after attempting to intervene in a break and enter which was in progress at a Minnesota Street residence just after 12:00 a.m. on March 19, 2011.

Two males were taken into custody yesterday afternoon and have been charged. Both males appeared in court this morning and have been remanded into custody.

18 year old Nicholas Andrew Webber and 19 year old Sheldon Paul Ryan Wabason have been charged with the following:

• Break, Enter And Commit An Indictable Offense C.C. 348(1)(b)

• 1st Degree Murder C.C. 235(1)
