OGOKI POST – DAREarts has just completed a trip to Ogoki Post in Northwestern Ontario. Cathy Elliott shares, “This song was written by the grades 5,6,7&8 students of Henry Coaster Memorial School in Ogoki Post, Marten Falls First Nation. This is DAREart’s second visit to the community in this school year. We’re grateful to the Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs for making this possible”.
The goal of DAREarts is making sure that youth across Canada are able to find confidence through the arts. DAREarts dares at-risk children to make positive choices in their lives through experiences in music, dance, drama, art, architecture, fashion, literature… all the arts.
