THUNDER BAY – “I want to know what your ideas are for growing our economy,” is the question that Thunder Bay Superior North federal Conservative candidate Richard Harvey is seeking answers for from local residents. With the upcoming budget a major factor in the future of our country, the Conservative candidate is hosting community consultations throughout the Thunder Bay Superior North Riding.

“A strong economic plan is essential to our healthcare, our education system, the security of our communities and to provide assistance for those in need through social programs,” stated Harvey. “It is so important to ensure that the ideas and concerns of the people of Thunder Bay Superior North are heard loud and clear in Ottawa. Canada is leading the world in economic recovery with: five consecutive quarters of economic growth, a financial system ranked the soundest in the world; and both the IMF and OECD projecting Canada to have among the strongest average growth for the G7 in the years ahead. But remember, this economy is fragile and we all need to work together to build upon the progress that the current government has made. I’m seeking your input to build upon Canada’s recovery and grow a stronger Northern Ontario”.

Over the next week open sessions will be held; in Thunder Bay on Monday the 31st at the North End Recreation Centre from 2-4, in Nipigon on Tuesday February 1st from 7-9 at the Municipal Office Board Room, Wednesday February 2 in Terrace Bay from 1:30 to 3:30 at the Community Centre, and later on Wednesday evening in Marathon from 7-9 a the Zero 100 Motor Inn and on Thursday afternoon February 3 in Geraldton from 2 to 4 pm at the Community Centre.

“This is an opportunity for you to have input into the upcoming budget,” says Harvey. “If you are unable to attend any of the sessions, written submissions may be sent to Richard@richardharvey.ca“.
