THUNDER BAY – The new Coordinator for the Thunder Bay Crime Prevention Council Amy Siciliano is seeking to recruit two youth, and two citizen representatives to sit on the Council.
The Crime Prevention Council is being established at the direction of City Council as a unique partnership between citizens, groups and service providers. The working mission of this Council is to engage the community in the task of preventing crime, increasing safety and fostering the well being of everyone in Thunder Bay.
Candidates with diverse backgrounds and interest in crime prevention are encouraged to apply. The two citizen candidates mush be at least 18 years of age, and must reside in the municipality or be a tenant or owner of land, and maintain residency throughout the appointment. The two youth candidates must be 16-24 at the time of appointment and maintain residency throughout the appointment.

For these volunteer positions, a Council-led search committee will short list the applications, conduct interviews and recommend candidates to City Council.
