THUNDER BAY – I would first of all like to thank the good people of Thunder Bay for  their support. I certainly appreciate your vote of confidence in being re-elected. Secondly I would like to congratulate all the candidates for letting their name stand in this election and for running good campaigns. I hope that they will continue to contribute to this community in one capacity or another.  I have lost twice and won twice.

This was by far one of the toughest elections I have participated in. Well done to all.

The people have re-elected all former councillors and two new councillors, Ken Boshcoff and Paul Pugh. We also have elected a new mayor, Keith Hobbs. Congratulations to all and welcome.  I know this council and mayor will work collaborative and tirelessly to make Thunder Bay the best city possible.

To Lynn Peterson thank you for all you have done for this city. I have personally witnessed your hard work and commitment. You have dealt with many controversial issues and have accomplished goals very few thought were achievable. I thank you for the leadership and guidance you have provided.

To fellow councillor Frank Pulllia: Thank you for your contributions at council and on committees. I know you will continue to be involved in the community in one capacity or another because you truly cared.  It was a pleasure and honour to be on council with these two individuals. Good luck in your future ventures.

We as a city now have to unite, be positive and believe in our future . Carpe diem
