THUNDER BAY – The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources is holding its 8th Annual Kids’ Fish Art Contest.
The contest runs from October 1 to December 17, 2010. Students in grades 4 through 12 are eligible. This year’s contest species are the Lake Trout and the Burbot. The winning design will be used for the 2011 Young Angler’s Licence.
Prizes include a complete set of fishing gear, a four-day fishing expedition courtesy of Red Pine Wilderness Lodge and three $1,000 savings plans. Three grade-group winners (grades 4 to 6, 7 to 9 and 10 to 12) will be selected. Full contest rules, entry forms and information about the fish can be found at www.ontario.ca/fishartcontest.
