Heavy Rainfall Warning issued for Region

THUNDER BAY – A Heavy Rainfall Warning has been issued for Thunder Bay, Nipigon, Rossport and Marathon – Schreiber by Environment Canada.

Heavy rain continues today giving 40 to 60 mm.

A low pressure system will slowly cross Lake Superior this morning and move eastward this afternoon. Storm total rainfall amounts 40 to 60 mm can be expected over the above regions.

The wet weather is expected to shift to cloudy skies along with cooler temperatures.

There is, as yet, no word from the Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority on possible flooding in the area.
