Thunder Bay Superior North Conservatives Set to Choose

THUNDER BAY – The Conservative Party will select their candidate for the federal party tonight in Thunder Bay Superior North. Eligible party members will choose between Richard Harvey, the Mayor of Nipigon, and Richard Longtin.

The candidate that voters select will challenge Bruce Hyer the sitting MP representing the New Democrats. The Liberal candidate is Yves Fricot the lawyer and spokesperson for Buchanan Forest Products.

Tonight’s vote will be supervised by representatives from outside the riding.

Sources tell NetNewsledger.com that there have been concerns raised throughout the campaigning period in Thunder Bay Superior North, and having outside scrutineers is hoped to ensure the vote runs smoothly.

Voting will happen at one location in Thunder Bay, as well as in Geraldton.
