Music for Monterrey Live at the Apollo Tonight!

THUNDER BAY – Tonight, at the Apollo in Thunder Bay, four Confederation College first year film students; Lenny Carpenter, Ian Connor, Veronica Fummerton, and Connor McMahon, in collaboration with the Bay Street Film Festival (BSFF) are raising funds for an exchange to Monterrey, Mexico in August.

The event will be held at the Apollo Bar on Red River Road starting at 8:30PM this evening.

The film students are working to attend the Monterrey International Film Festival (MIFF) in Mexico.

The BSFF are attempting as a community film festival to send these students to Monterrey to share in the experience of what a film festival is and how in future they may take advance as filmmakers in Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario.

Video and filmmaker, Paul Morralee, who is organizing the trip to Mexico with the students shares, “This adventure for the four students from Confederation College will broaden their experience in the real world of filmmaking. When they return they will share their experience at this years Bay Street Film Festival on Sept 30th.”
