THUNDER BAY – Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel back in time? The Thunder Bay Art Gallery and the Thunder Bay Museum on Saturday July 10 at 2pm are presenting, at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery on the grounds of Confederation College, the Lake Superior Time Machine 3D Tour.
You will transport back in time on a 3D tour of Lake Superior as it was in 1870.
Jack Deo of Superior View features the 3D photographic work of B. F. Childs. Childs, a Marquette resident, was the premier photographer of the Lake Superior district.
His stereographs from the 1870’s have been digitized for 3D projection.
Wearing 3D glasses, this show lets you experience the depths of the Mines, the heights of Thunder Cape and a look through the caves of the Pictured Rocks. You will see breathtaking waterfalls and early views of the ships, mining camps, rivers and towns along the shore of Lake Superior. 3D glasses will be provided for use during the presentation.
This presentation is one stop of Deo’s Lake Superior Time Machine tour around Lake Superior with stops in Calumet, Ashland, Duluth, Thunder Bay, and Sault Ste. Marie.
Advanced Tickets available at the Art Gallery and the Museum or at the door – Cost is only $5.00/Seating is limited!
