Sioux Lookout –  An enforcement blitz on four lakes near Sioux Lookout resulted in a 92 per cent compliance with only 11 charges and 17 warnings for anglers. Conservation officers from the Ministry of Natural Resources in Sioux Lookout conducted a two-day enforcement blitz on Minnitaki, Abram, Pelican and Botsford lakes on June 22 and 23, 2010.

Officers checked 354 anglers, laid 11 charges and issued 17 warnings for violations relating to fishing, liquor and the operation of small vessels.

Charges included:

• possessing fish of a prohibited length

• possessing live sport fish
